fnatic have booked their place in the ESL ESEA Pro League last-four stage after picking up a 2-0 victory against Keyd Stars (16-5 on de_inferno and 19-16 on de_train).

The second quarter-final match of the tournament pitted red-hot favourites fnatic against Keyd Stars, with the Brazilians hoping to be the latest team to cause an upset in this tournament. However, as many suspected this turned out to be too big of a challenge for Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo's men, who still acquitted themselves well, especially on the second map.

de_inferno is traditionally one of fnatic's strongest maps, and the Swedish team lived up to expectations, picking up a whopping 12 rounds after playing on the CT side.

A quad kill from Fernando "⁠fer⁠" Alvarenga in the pistol round handed Keyd Stars a lifeline after the break, but the Brazilian's dreams were quickly shattered as fnatic strung four rounds together in gun play to wrap up a 16-5 victory.

Next up was de_train, where the game went back and forth for the majority of the first half as only one round separated the two teams after the end of the first 15 rounds.

After the break, fnatic showed all their attacking prowess as they enlarged their lead to 11-7. Keyd Stars then picked themselves up and began to string rounds together, which allowed them to build up their economy. With a narrow 14-13 lead, fnatic were able to end Keyd Stars' streak by winning a sensational force-buy, but the Brazilians still managed to take the game the overtime, in which the experience of Markus "⁠pronax⁠" Wallsten's men ended up being the deciding factor.
